On March 26, Georgia Tech’s Residence Hall Association (RHA) launched The Buzz About Project. Every 48 hours, RHA will feature a new student, faculty, or staff member from across the Institute. Each feature will explore the person’s involvement at Tech and share some of their words of encouragement for the rest of the community.
The project follows a simple mantra: “Good vibes. Encouragement. The Buzz About Project.” There are already several features up on the website, and RHA plans to continue adding more for at least another month.
The idea for The Buzz About Project originated with RHA members thinking about what they could do to support students who’d recently had to leave campus. They wanted to provide fellow Yellow Jackets with a sense of closure while also sharing what others are doing to get through a difficult time. RHA hopes that it can be an uplifting force in reminding the community that they’re not alone.
“For the past few weeks, everyone has been spending quite a bit of time at home either alone or with the same group of people,” said Emmett Miskell, president of RHA. “We want to demonstrate that we can be separated but still together, and we believe that connecting with others is critical to getting through this.”
RHA is accepting nominations for students, faculty, and staff to be featured on The Buzz About Project. Nominators can email Miskell at president@rha.gatech.edu.
