Fabry, whose research and scholarship centers on the concept of statehood and territorial borders, wrote the chapter "Theory of State Recognition: A Contemporary Assessment." He also wrote the chapter "The Evolution of State Recognition" for the Routledge Handbook of State Recognition in 2019.
