The Georgia Tech Caribbean Student Association (GT CaribSA) is collecting clothes to send to victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Students can bring clothing and shoe donations to designated bins in the student center in the BSO office and the Spring Room from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
A portion of collected donations will go to the Haitian Alliance, which will distribute the clothes to 52 displaced Haitian families; the rest will be sent to a Haitian church for distribution. Last year, GT CaribSA collected nearly $6,000 and numerous clothing donations following the earthquake, said Ralph Raymond, president of GT CaribSA.
