There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

We understand there is a current disruption to our daily lives and we may be feeling some cabin fever. Even if we are not traveling now, we can still dream of, think about, and plan for the future. Now is actually an ideal time to plan for Spring 2021 education abroad programs. Many study abroad application deadlines for the spring are early in the fall semester. For instance, if your student is interested in studying abroad on an exchange in Spring 2021, they need to apply by September 1, 2020, which means that there isn’t much time in the fall for a student to get settled at Tech before they need to plan for the spring semester. Students are encouraged to meet or chat with an advisor in the Office of International Education (OIE) this summer to explore the numerous opportunities available for their major. If your student will be looking for funding options, the OIE Scholarship page is: http://oie.gatech.edu/find_scholarships.
Also, if your student was planning to study abroad during summer 2020 and you have questions about what happens next, please visit our Education Abroad Summer 2020 Program FAQ page. We will post updates as soon as we get them and we also encourage your student to remain in contact with their program. As always, please let us know what questions you have (study.abroad@gatech.edu)
