After ten years of in-person Finals, Ideas to Serve is going virtual this year!  Finalists and judges will interact through an online platform and the audience will be able to vote for their favorite submission to win the People’s Choice Award. Please connect with us on Instagram and Facebook to follow this event and to support your favorite entry.

Ideas 2 Serve focuses on the in-depth understanding of a social/environmental issue a student is passionate about, supporting an in-depth discovery of that particular problem.

Students who are interested in understanding complex problems and/or involved in community - based grassroots efforts to address such problems but don't have an "innovation" can be part of I2S - strengthening the "serve" component of it.

Participation in the Ideas to Serve Competition fulfills the Final Deliverable requirement for the SLS Innovating for Social Impact Program

This year in addition to the top prizes in the two tracks – Problem Discovery and Solution Discovery – teams will compete for a variety of specialty awards, including the System Map Award, Best Video, People’s Choice.

The top team will represent Georgia Tech at the Map the System Global Challenge – a partnership with the University of Oxford’s Skoll Center for Social Entrepreneurship (also virtual this year).

I2S funding is made possible through the generous support of our Georgia Tech and Community Partners:

The Cecil B. Day Program for Business Ethics (Solution Discovery Track Awards)

Center for Serve - Learn - Sustain (Problem Discovery Track Awards)

Steven A. Denning Technology and Management Program
