There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Title:  Non-Parametric Analysis for Timer Series Gap Data with Applications in Acute Myocardial Infarction Disease

Speaker: Hangfan Li

Location: Bluejeans Meeting:  https://bluejeans.com/194425444

Time: March 24th, 3pm-4pm

Abstract: Gap data problems are very popular recently since scientists are more curious about what occurs during a period where information

might be missing or unrecorded. Here, a nonparametric method called Imputed Empirical Estimating (IEE) method will be illustrated. Moreover, using IEE into the medical field to estimate T1, which is the first recovery time after an acute myocardial infraction will be discussed as well. By utilizing the simulation, IEE provides a better estimate of the survival function of the true first recovery time compared with all existing other estimating approaches (Weighted Estimating Equation,  Maximum Likelihood Estimate, etc.).
