Abstract:
The President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology threw the HIT industry a curve ball in its recent report recommending the nationwide adoption of a universal exchange language for healthcare information in order to facilitate a transition from traditional electronic health records to the use of healthcare data tagged with privacy and security specifications. Multimodal Technologies CEO, Michael Finke, will lead a conversation about how these goals are already being addressed within the HIT community and alternatives to the idea of tagged data as a solution to HIT interoperability challenges.
