The Georgia Tech-CNRS UMI2958 Joint International Research Laboratory, and Georgia Tech-Lorraine are organizing and hosting the 2020 Journées du GDR Nano TeraMIR Conference, June 9-11, 2020, in historic Metz, France. About 100 scientists from France and abroad are expected to attend. The GDR NanoTeraMIR Conference aims to build links and create exchanges between French researchers in the fields of THz and MIR frequencies, as well as nanosciences and nanotechnologies. The conference’s scientific objective is to enrich the fundamental knowledge on the physical properties of nanomaterials and nanocomponents at THz and MIR frequencies, as well as to promote the emergence of new THz and MIR concepts, devices, and instrumentations from nanosciences and nanotechnologies.

There will be ample time for networking, with a gala dinner planned for June 10th in the atmospheric Chèvremont Granary at the Musée de La Cour d'Or (Metz Museum). Attendees will enjoy a private visit of the museum before dinner.

The organizing committee welcomes submissions related to imaging, telecommunications, nonlinear optics, polaritons and other elementary excitations probed by terahertz and mid-infrared techniques. Please visit the conference website at https://nanoteramir2020.sciencesconf.org/ to register or to submit a paper for consideration.
