There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Prospective students and their families now have the opportunity to listen to admissions advice directly from Georgia Tech wherever they go. The Office of Undergraduate Admission recently launched a new podcast called “College Admission Brief,” hosted by Rick Clark, director of undergraduate admission. On each episode of “College Admission Brief,” Clark, members of his team, and people throughout the Georgia Tech community share insights and advice about the admission decision process in 10 minutes or less.
The podcast is designed to accompany the Office of Undergraduate Admission’s blog, which posts stories and advice about the admissions process every Friday. Often, Clark and his guests will use the podcast to expand upon these blog posts, though there may be times when they share other relevant admissions content instead.
The first episode of the podcast, “Typos and mistakes in college apps. Deal breakers?” was released on Feb. 13; the second episode came out on Feb. 27. Soon, the Admission Office plans to start releasing new episodes on a weekly basis. Listeners can find the podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Spreaker.
