The School of Economics had a strong presence at this year’s Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts CRIDC Graduate Student Paper Conference held at Georgia Tech on January 31, 2020. Of the twenty-eight graduate students who presented papers and/or chaired the six sessions at the conference, three students from the School of Economics presented their papers and one student chaired a session.
Tony Harding (advisor: Juan Moreno Cruz) presented his paper, “From Weather Fluctuations to Aggregate Climate Impacts”, Archana Ghodeshwar (advisor: Matt Oliver) presented her paper, titled, “The Economics of Industrial Ecology: Evidence of First-Order Effects from the Indian Electric Power Sector”, and Xiaoyu Dong (advisor: Shatakshee Dhongde) presented her paper, “Measuring Multidimensional Poverty: An Application to the United States” at the conference. In addition to the paper presenters, Vikrant Kamble, who is a member of the IAC Graduate Student Advisory Board chaired a session.
