Four finalists have been chosen in the Georgia Tech Library dean search. As part of the final selection process, each candidate will visit campus and present an open seminar addressing their vision for the research library of the 21st century at Georgia Tech.

Four finalists have been chosen in the Georgia Tech Library dean search. As part of the final selection process, each candidate will visit campus and present an open seminar addressing their vision for the research library of the 21st century at Georgia Tech. The hour-long seminars are open to all students, faculty, and staff. Interested individuals can attend in person, watch real-time via livestream, or watch a post-event video of each candidate presentation. 

The finalists are included below in order of their campus seminar presentations:

  • Jason Battles, deputy university librarian and director of library technology at the University of Georgia, will present an open seminar on Monday, March 2, at 12:15 p.m. in the Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons, Room 152.
  • Leslie Sharp, associate vice provost of Graduate Education and Faculty Development and interim CEO of the Library at the Georgia Institute of Technology, will present an open seminar on Thursday, March 5, at 11:00 a.m. in the Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons, Room 152.
  • Meredith Evans, director of the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum, will present an open seminar on Monday, March 9, at 12:15 p.m. in the Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons, Room 152.
  • Todd Grappone, associate university librarian for digital initiatives and information technology at the University of California-Los Angeles, will present an open seminar on Wednesday, March 11, at 12:15 p.m. in the Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons, Room 152.
