Georgia Southwestern State University is excited to host the 2020 Georgia Regional Phi Alpha Theta conference on Saturday, April 4th.  The Georgia Regional welcomes all interested undergraduates and graduate students to submit proposals by Friday, Feb. 21st.  Students may propose either a paper presentation (of 15-20 minutes in length) or a poster presentation of their research in any historical field.  If you are interested in participating please send Dr. Carla Gerona a 150 word proposal by Friday, Feb. 21st.  Dr. Gerona will then forward the proposals to Georgia Southwestern.

This is a great opportunity to share the great research you have already presented or will present on HSOC research day beyond Georgia Tech.  Phi Alpha Theta members are eligible for prizes, and HSOC will also award a non-monetary prize for the best HSOC paper submitted and presented at the Regional Conference.

All participants will receive notice of acceptance and additional conference information by March 1st. Completed papers eligible for PAT award recognition will be due by Monday, March 23rd. We also invite communication with faculty and advanced graduate students interested in serving as panel commentators.
