There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Rafael L. Bras has announced that the new G. Wayne Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons will become part of the Libraries and under the management responsibility of its dean and director, Catherine Murray-Rust.
Because of the array of different organizations and academic services to be located in the new building, a Faculty Advisory Committee will also be appointed, chaired by Dr. Anderson Smith, senior vice provost for Academic Affairs. A Stakeholders Council consisting of the directors of the constituent organizations located in the building will also assist in the coordination of the different academic activities.
The building is scheduled to open in time for the Fall Semester of 2011.
