Georgia Tech has access to a tremendous breadth and depth of sports-related research, innovation, technology, and expertise across campus and the greater Atlanta area.

How can we leverage that to build and implement Georgia Tech’s vision of making Atlanta the global leader in sports research, innovation, and technology?

We'll also introduce the Institute's Gaming & Esports Applied Research (GEAR) initiative, a transdisciplinary team of computer scientists, engineers, and others who focus on the application of games as tools for education, empowerment, rehabilitation, community engagement, health interventions, and entertainment.

Potential areas of discussion include athletic performance (health, wellbeing, wearables, and analytics), fan engagement, operations, and esports.
