There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Love is in the air, and English ivy is in the forest! Georgia Tech Trailblazers invites you to share some love this Valentines weekend by providing hands-on restoration efforts for Atlanta’s urban forest. Join us while we work to remove English ivy and other invasive plants in a very special original forest remnant at Grove Park and Proctor Creek.
We’ll start with a short intro to the unusually high value of this urban forest, and include training on how to identify native from non-native species, and how to remove invasive species such as privet, autumn olive, english ivy, and others. We will also practice identifying native plants traditionally found in older forests. These techniques can help you to continue to spread love to your own backyard and local forests all year long.
Transportation will be provided round trip from Georgia Tech.
