There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Committee Description

Responsible for organizing the weekly Fridays for a Future actions outside on Skiles Walkway. This committee focuses on climate awareness, encouraging student climate action, and promoting more sustainable education on campus regardless of major(s).

Weekly Actions

Currently, we are hosting weekly digital strikes using our social media! Anyone can participate by following the simple instructions listed below:

  1. Take a photo of you (or with a group) holding a sign/flyer/poster (or even add electronic text to save paper) on anything related to increasing climate awareness and/or climate action (if you choose to use paper, please reuse and recycle it).
  2. Send the photo to Fridays for Future Georgia Tech by:
    • Posting it on your Instagram or Facebook and tagging @fff.gatech
    • Sending it to our social media pages
    • Sending it to sosgeorgiatech@gmail.com
  3. Share it with your friends and let them know how they can take action!

  • Learn more about the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act

    • Send a letter to your representative here

  • Ask Congress that COVID-19 is not an excuse to pollute

  • Remind a world leader [of your choice] about the continuing Climate and Ecological Crisis we are facing
