Join the School of Architecture for a lecture by Dan Wood titled, "Anthropocenitecture" on Wednesday, January 15 at 4pm in the Reinsch-Pierce Family Auditorium.

About Anthropocenitecture

How do we design in the age of the Anthropocene? How can we address issues and problems that seem so much bigger than architecture…despite architecture’s proven contributions to global warming? WORKac knows as little as the next architect; but we are committed to engaging the issues of our time head-on. Utilizing research, design, wit and optimism, we are actively engaged in reinventing the role that we as architects can play in shaping the future.

About Dan Wood

Dan Wood FAIA co-founded WORKac with Amale Andraos in 2003. He has taught extensively, most recently at MIT. He previously taught at Columbia University and the University of Pennsylvania and held the 2017 Frank Gehry International Visiting Chair in Architectural Design at the University of Toronto and the 2013-14 Louis I. Kahn Chair at the Yale School of Architecture.

Wood is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects and the Vice President for Design Excellence of the New York Chapter of the AIA. His publications, co-authored with Amale Andraos, include ‘WORKac: We’ll Get There When We Cross That Bridge,’ 49 Cities’ and ‘Above the Pavement the Farm!’
