There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

We invite applications for an upcoming Community Researcher Workshop that will give access to the Ivan Allen Jr. Digital Archive, 30,000 pages of the administrative records of the former mayor, whose 1962-1970 tenure is remembered as one of both progress and controversy.
The complimentary full-day workshop will be held Saturday, November 23, and will be led by historian and Georgia Tech professor Todd Michney. We have room to host 25 guest participants and especially welcome those from outside academia. Participants will dive into the collection to conduct personalized research and build virtual “exhibits” with documents from the Archive for their future use.
All necessary materials, including complimentary parking, will be made available. Computer access will be provided, although participants are welcome to bring their own laptops (and are strongly encouraged to do so if they are Mac users).
Funding for this event comes from Georgia Tech’s Digital Integrative Liberal Arts Center (https://dilac.iac.gatech.edu/).
