Seminar Title: How to Become an Entrepreneur
Abstract of Talk: An entrepreneur by definition is a person who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to do so. In order to become an entrepreneur, you have to allow your passion to become your enterprise and live on your own terms. I will share my journey into entrepreneurship and give advice based on my experiences. The ups, the downs, but most importantly the lessons.
Biographical Sketch of the Speaker: Shan Pesaru, CmpE 05 (computer engineering), is a techie and lifelong entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience as a technology creator and supporter of the startup & entrepreneurial community. Shan is the Founder & CEO of Sharp Hue: a web development and technology consulting firm with offices in Fayetteville, Arkansas and Atlanta, Georgia.
The Sharp Hue team serves around 160 clients with design, development, hosting, and consulting services while also building & supporting their entrepreneurial projects such as Register Wizard, Agent SITE, and Ride Track.
Since 2006 Sharp Hue has helped over 500 clients adopt technology and use design thinking to help businesses and their customers be more productive. Sharp Hue’s mission is to help clients Get Work Done and Go Home Happy!
Shan lives in Atlanta with his wife Nichole and daughter Neela. He is involved with his undergraduate alma mater, Georgia Tech, as a member of the Alumni Association Board of Trustees Executive Committee. Shan will serve as the Chair of the Alumni Association Board in academic year 2021-2022.
