PUBP 3610 - Pre-Law Seminar
M / 4:30-7:15 pm
This course is taught by Atlanta-area attorneys, all of whom are practicing. The course is split into three five week segments - Choosing Law as a Profession, Law School and Beyond, and Oral Advocacy. You’ll learn more about the legal system, what goes into becoming a lawyer, different areas of law to pursue as a career, and how to build your advocacy and communication skills. It’s a great way to meet practicing attorneys and network for possible internship opportunities, as well!
PUBP 4640 - Tech Law, Policy, and Management R / 4:30-7:15pm
If you’re interested in intellectual property (IP) and patents, whether in a possible career as a lawyer or patent agent, or as they may pertain to your work as an engineer or scientist, this is the course for you! The course is taught by two Georgia Tech alumni and IP attorneys with experience both as engineers and as lawyers. It’s a great way to prepare for real-world problems with intellectual property and to network with practicing attorneys. This course has been a perennial favorite of students through the years.
