Hourly ChargePoint rates apply to all users ($0.85 per hour for the first four hours, and $5 per hour after five hours). Non-W22 GT permit holders and campus visitors must pay the hourly parking rate in addition to the ChargePoint fee.

EV customers are encouraged to use the Charge Point app (https://www.chargepoint.com/drivers/mobile/) or the Plug Share app (https://www.plugshare.com/) to see the current availability and locations.

Electric vehicles help support the Institute’s sustainability initiatives. Benefits of driving electric vehicles include:

  • Reduced fuel costs,
  • Less expensive maintenance,
  • Fewer harmful emissions to the environment,
  • Personal health benefits, and
  • Overall reduced reliance on petroleum for transportation.

Currently, the campus has 42 EV charging stations in the following locations:

  • Area 4 Visitor's Lot (Ferst Drive/State Street)
  • W02 Deck (Student Center)
  • W23 Deck (North Deck/State St.)
  • WR30 Deck (Curran Parking Deck)
  • E81 Deck (Tech Square)
  • NEW: W22 Deck (Dalney Deck)

Happy Charging!
