First-time ScienceMatters listener Andrew Schilling has won quiz 5 of the podcast's Season 3. Drew is a first-year student majoring in biochemistry. He hails from Monticello, Georgia.
"I listened to the ScienceMatters episode 5 podcast in my dorm room," Drew says. "I had not listened to any of the previous podcasts before, and I thought I would check it out.
"I thought that the podcast was both very interesting and informative. It is very nice to get the opportunity to learn about what type of research professors here work on."
The quiz question for episode 5 was: How many UV lights are in the indoor environmental chamber Sally Ng designed?
The correct answer is 300.
Episode 6 features School of Biological Sciences Associate Professor Lewis Wheaton using his Cognitive Motor Control Lab to research the neurological processes involved when people cope with the loss of a limb, a stroke, or a traumatic brain injury that can impact motor skills.
