The Investiture of Angel Cabrera, Georgia Tech’s 12th President, will take place Monday, October 28, 2019.
Guests will park in W01-Ferst Drive, W02-Student Center parking deck and Visitors Area 2.
W01 Customers: Please remove vehicles from parking spaces on both sides of Ferst Drive (between the Area 2 entrance and the W02 deck entrance) by 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 27. Alternate parking locations are W10-CRC deck or W22-Dalney deck. Gate access will be added to customers’ BuzzCards or Carpool permits.
W02 Customers: Please remove vehicles from the roof level of W02 by 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 27. Alternate parking locations are other open W02 spaces, W10-CRC deck or W22-Dalney deck. Gate access will be added to customers’ BuzzCards or Carpool permits.
W10 Customers: Vehicles are not required to move, however, congestion is expected. If spaces are filled in W10, the alternate parking location is W22-Dalney deck. Gate access will be added to customers’ BuzzCards or Carpool permits.
Visitors Area 2: Area 2 will be closed Sunday, October 27 at 11:00 p.m. Vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense. Visitors may park in Area 1 (North Ave.), Area 4 (Ferst/State) or Area 5 (W23-North Campus Deck).
Accessible Parking: ADA parking spaces in Area2 and W01 will be relocated to Ferst Drive between the Student Center bus stop and the Student Center Commons. These spaces are available to both visitors and permit customers with ADA credentials.
Normal parking conditions should resume Monday after 3:00 p.m.
NOTE: To avoid heavy traffic, we encourage walking or using campus transit when traveling to the Investiture. Tech Trolley and Stinger stops are located conveniently near the Ferst Center for the Arts. Also, due to the large number of attendees, Trolleys and Stingers are expected to be congested.
