There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. "Closing the gap between medical microbiology and infectious disease epidemiology"
Med micro and ID epidemiology are both focused on progression and control of infectious diseases, but could just as well live on separate planets (planet medicine, and planet public health). Can the Center for Microbial Dynamics and Infection build some bridges? Let’s chat about this. Three avenues come to mind: (1) identifying missing epi processes, (2) testing epi theory, (3) metagenomics / phylo-dynamics.
