Please join us on Tuesday, October 29 for a presentation by Latrice Rollins, Dennis Bryan and Karunamuni Ruvina Silva of the Morehouse School of Medicine.  The presentation will highlight the Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) Prevention Research Center's community health needs and assets assessment process and how the data are being transformed by MSM Bioinformatics Unit into a website/portal for community access. 

Presenters :

Latrice Rollins is the Assistant Director of Evaluation and Institutional Assessment at Morehouse School of Medicine Prevention Research Center. She provides evaluation plan development and management for academic and community-based programs focused on research infrastructure, public health workforce development programs, and community-based participatory approaches to reduce health disparities. She also co-leads the Data Monitoring and Evaluation Committee of the Prevention Research Center's Community Coalition Board. Dr. Rollins is also an Assistant Professor in the Morehouse School of Medicine Department of Community Health & Preventive Medicine and a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Culture of Health Leader. She received a bachelor's in sociology from Spelman College and a master's and doctorate in social work from the University of Georgia.

Dennis Bryan is a Programmer Analyst III on Morehouse School of Medicine's Biomedical Informatics Team. He supports projects such as i2b2 database implementation, All of Us, Health 360x and data submissions tasks with the Grady Bioinformatics Team. Mr. Bryan is an expert in database management systems, web and programming languages, and various data analytics programs (e.g., SAS, R, Tableau, Power BI). He received a bachelor's in electrical engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a master's in engineering from Rutgers University.

Karunamuni Ruvina Silva is a database administrator II on Morehouse School of Medicine's Biomedical Informatics Team. She supports projects such as i2b2, ACT, All of US, Health 360x, electronic health record extraction and data submissions tasks with the Grady Bioinformatics Team. She is an expert in Database development and management, web technology, data visualization, and application development and management. She received a master's of science degree in computer science from Clark Atlanta University.
