Experience the magic of early cinema when Georgia Tech Arts presents Changing Score: Classic Films Reimagined in partnership with the Georgia Tech School of Music. Travel back in time to the era of silent films when this technological breakthrough left audiences transfixed and created a global platform for storytelling.  French composer Gaëll Lozac’h infuses four early film classics with brand-new musical scores, bringing life to these beloved works with the help of the Georgia Tech Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Chaowen Ting in live concert. Featured film excerpts include Charlie Chaplin’s The Vagabond, Jean Renoir’s La petite marchande d’allumettes (The Little Match Girl), Buster Keaton’s The Haunted House, and Harold Lloyd’s Safety Last! The performance holds true to the mission of Georgia Tech Arts by highlighting the role technology played in shaping an altogether new artform of the time, while also raising up the artistic pursuits of our students alongside world-renowned talent.
