There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Functionally the new site is identical to the old one. webteam@gatech.edu

Title: Efficient Jitter and Eye Estimation in High-Speed Channels
Committee:

Abstract:
The objective of the proposed research is developing methods to efficiently estimate jitter, eye diagram, and the worst-case inner eye of high-speed channels. Existing methods in this area might fail to efficiently show inter-symbol interference (ISI) and data dependent jitter of non-LTI systems; therefore, development of new methods is necessary. Proposed research takes advantage of the Polynomial Chaos (PC) theory and Bayesian optimization (BO). Necessary modifications on PC modeling and BO are suggested to customize them for high-speed channels. Preliminary results and numerical examples are provided.
