Title: Overview of Center for Career Discovery & Development   

Abstract: This talk will review the current services provided by the Center for Career Discovery & Development, how students can take advantage of the resources that will help them in their career development process at Georgia Tech. In addition the session will include a discussion on new recruiting trends and Q & A on preparing for “recruiting season.” 

Speaker Bio: With more than 10 years of experience in the career services profession, Andrea Comsa is the Senior Director of Career Education at Georgia Tech, Center for Career Discovery & Development.  Andrea oversees the operations of the office and works with undergraduate, master and Ph.D. students to aid them in their job search process. In addition, she develops and manages regular and special events programming on career-related topics. She is the key liaison to the College of Engineering (Biomedical, Civil & Environmental). In her other roles, Andrea has served as the Co-Chair of the SHRM Atlanta- Central GEM Chapter (2009-2011) as well as Chair of the College-to-Career Fair consortium for the Georgia Association of Colleges and Employers (2009-2010). She has also served as a board member for the Georgia Tech Student in Free Enterprise group, a non-profit organization that educates students on concepts such as economics, entrepreneurship, and business ethics through educational outreach projects.
