Among women in the United States, ovarian cancer is the eighth most common cancer and the fifth leading cause of cancer death. In addition, ovarian cancer causes more deaths than any other cancer of the female reproductive system. School of Biology Professor John McDonald and his research group have attained very promising results on their initial trials of a new test for ovarian cancer in 100 percent of the patients tested. It is their hope that physicians will be able to detect the disease early and save many lives. Come hear about the most recent findings.
