Are you looking for a leadership opportunity on campus? The Healthy Jacket Peer Educators are leaders who serve as healthy lifestyle role-models to their peers. They are extensively trained volunteers who give presentations on a variety of health topics, design and implement health programs for students and collaborate with campus partners to create a healthy community. Mindful Mondays
Every Monday, Health Initiatives hosts Mindful Mondays: Drop In & Relax. Drop in to relax and de-stress with short guided mindfulness exercises and coloring! Join this relaxation space to learn and practice simple mindfulness techniques and stress management skills that you can easily incorporate into your daily routine. Mindfulness Monday starts September 9th from 4:00 - 5:00 PM in the Student Center Juniper Room.
Free HIV Testing
Health Initiatives offers free, confidential HIV testing to students, faculty, and staff throughout the semester. The first date is August 29. The rapid HIV test involves a quick finger prick to get a blood sample with results will be ready in just a few minutes.
Center for Assessment, Referral and Education (CARE) Now Open
CARE is the primary resource for mental health support at Georgia Tech. Students seeking assistance from the Counseling Center or Stamps Psychiatry need to visit CARE first for a primary assessment and referral to on and off-campus mental health and well-being resources. Appointments are not available, only walk-in service is offered during office hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
