The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) is pleased to welcome Shaolan Li to Georgia Tech. Li joined ECE on August 1, 2019.

An assistant professor, Li is a member of the electronic design and applications technical interest group, and his office is located in TSRB, Room 419. Prior to joining Georgia Tech, Li graduated with his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in May 2018 and then worked there as a postdoctoral fellow for a year. He earned his B.Eng. degree with highest honor in Electronic and Computer Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Li’s research expertise is in high-performance data converters, ultra-low-power low-cost sensor interface, and novel analog mixed-signal architectures for design automation. Areas where his work may be applied are in 5G communications, no-human-in-the-loop design automation, and brain-machine interfacing.

Li received the IEEE Solid-State Circuit Society (SSCS) Predoctoral Achievement Award in 2019. In addition to being a member of IEEE-SSCS, he also belongs to the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society.

“Please be sure to check out Shaolan's faculty profile on the ECE website and introduce yourselves as you see him in faculty meetings or around campus,” said Magnus Egerstedt, Steve W. Chaddick School Chair and ECE Professor. “I am excited to have Shaolan on our faculty and look forward to him having a long and productive career with us!”
