Omar Asensio, assistant professor in the School of Public Policy, gave a keynote address at the GM IT Georgia Innovation Center’s Geek Week kickoff event on July 30.
A General Motors official described Asensio’s address, “Using Research and Analytics to Solve Innovation Problems,” as “truly an inspiration and perfect keynote.”
Asensio, an affiliate of the Institute for Data Engineering and Science, studies innovation problems in energy, transportation, and urban sustainability, including work using big data to analyze the effects of policy.
The School of Public Policy is a unit of the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts.
