"Thinking about vampires, thinking about zombies is, I think, extremely healthy because it allows us to think about what is it in my life, in my world that frightens me....What I recognize... and would like to emulate is that they can fly... the ability to shape-shift, and hey, there's something really enticing about immortality," said Carol Senf, associate chair and professor in the School of Literature, Communication, and Culture.  Source:  CNN, October 31

Senf researches Victorian Studies and Gothic and one of the world's foremost scholars of Bram Stoker.  Author of numerous books, her Bram Stoker will be released in paperback in January 2011.
