Full Summary: This SLCE (Service Learning and Community Engagement) orientation session offers students foundations for service learning and community engagement work in their courses.  Students who are in courses that have a specific SLCE component-- such as a required service learning experience or a real world project with a partner-- are strongly encouraged to attend.  The session will cover safe and respectful behaviors in communities unfamiliar to you; power, voice, and access to resources in Atlanta and the region; tips and best practices for partner-based collaborations off campus. The session will be interactive, and is open to students in any course or major!
