Georgia Tech’s Office of Information Technology (OIT) will host the University System of Georgia’s (USG) third annual Women in Technology Summit at the Historic Academy of Medicine Friday, July 19. The theme for this year’s summit is “Her Time to Lead.”

The concept for the Women in Technology Summit was introduced in 2017 during the USG’s annual Chief Information Officers Advisory Council meeting. The first summit was held later that summer at Georgia State and College University and last year’s event was hosted at the University of West Georgia. The annual event strives to improve the diversity gap, specifically in technology, and more broadly in STEM-related careers and is inclusive of all gender identities. This year’s summit includes attendance from IT professionals within the USG’s 26 public institutions as well as professionals from Auburn University and the University of Alabama.
