Rare earths: Beijing threatens a new front in the trade war.

There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Yujia He, a Sam Nunn School of International Affairs doctoral alumna, was quoted in “Rare earths: Beijing threatens a new front in the trade war.” Financial Times, June 3. 

“It would be difficult to make it hit just the US,” Yujia He, of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology’s Institute for Emerging Market Studies, says of any eventual Chinese restrictions on exports.
