When Saad Bhamla noticed one of his students having trouble with his hearing aid, he asked the student about it and discovered the high cost of the sputtering device and found that hearing aids aren’t covered by insurance, yet they are necessary for a good quality of life.
So Bhamla decided he would create an affordable hearing aid that anyone can use. He and his team are now working on an ambitious ultra low-cost hearing aid, that would potentially cost less than a dollar.
