No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Spring semester has finished, summer is right around the corner, and the weather is heating up. What’s better than an outdoor get-together with friends and coworkers?

All Georgia Tech staff are invited to the Spring Splash at Couch Park on Wednesday, May 22, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., hosted by Staff Council. Employees can enjoy games and snacks, win prizes, learn more about the Georgia Tech Staff Council, and listen to staff-related concerns and ideas. Be sure to bring your BuzzCard. The event is rain or shine.

Last year, the council held three meet-and-greets in various campus locations, including a Fall Carnival in September at the Campus Recreation Center attended by more than 300 employees.

The Staff Council exists to understand perspectives that are representative of the broad population of staff about matters of institutional importance, and to communicate those perspectives, along with advice and suggestions, to the Institute president and executive leadership at regular intervals. The council meets the third Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m. The meeting location varies but can be found on their calendar and is open to all staff members.
