Celebrate the start of the summer at the employee well-being week and join President Peterson for his 10th and last walk around campus on Thursday, May 16th at 4:30 pm!

The President’s Walk is a time-honored tradition where President “Bud” Peterson guides students and employees through campus along the Tyler Brown Pi Mile. The walk is a great opportunity to network with students, faculty, and staff from across campus, including the President himself! Health Initiatives (HI) senior director, Stacy Connell said, “This is the 10th anniversary of our President’s Walk, a signature event that President Peterson has led for the past 10 years.  It is certainly bittersweet as we take this final walk with President Peterson as he ends his presidency and enters into his retirement.  He has been such a compassionate champion for the health and well-being of the entire Georgia Tech community.  I’m glad we have this moment to honor his legacy and celebrate the health of our campus together one more time.”

Pre-registration check-in for the event and day of registration opens at 3:45 pm and you must have your BuzzCard to check in. The walk begins with opening ceremonies by President Peterson himself and HI Senior Director, Stacy Connell at 4:30 pm. The first 50 people to check in and complete at least one loop of the course will receive one of the last President’s Walk t-shirts. To register for the event go to crc.gatech.edu/presidents-walk. We look forward to seeing you at this year’s walk rain or shine!

The President’s walk is part of the employee well-being week which is focused on “showcasing our commitment to the health and well-being of our hard-working faculty and staff.  During the school year, it can be easy to forgo taking care of ourselves. We want to kick-off summer by providing events that remind us to do just that. We are focused on cultivating a work culture at Georgia Tech that supports the whole person so that employees are engaged, satisfied and able to thrive,” said Connell. This inaugural week takes place from Monday, May 13th – Friday, May 17th at various locations across campus.

The week features different workshops, a health expo, FREE access to the CRC and more! This week is a great time to learn more about health and well-being on campus while also connecting with your coworkers!
