Olga Shemyakina, Associate Professor in the School of Economics, has been selected to participate in the 2019-2020 cohort of the Office of Provost’s Emerging Leaders Program.
The Emerging Leaders Program was founded in 2016 in partnership with the Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship and the Office of Graduate Education and Faculty Development. Participants will engage in monthly workships, weekend workshops, small-group work, self assessments, and 360-degree assessments over the next nine months.
Shemyakina's research examines the effects of violent conflict and subsequent instances of protracted economic and political instability on the behavior of households in various geographical and institutional settings.
