Alice Hong, HSOC master’s student, presented at the Break the Cycle of Environmental Health Disparities Conference held at Emory University on April 15, 2019. This interdisciplinary conference focused on the vulnerability of children who grow up in circumstances of social and economic disadvantage. Through the mentorship of Dr. Jennifer Singh, Hong presented research on the social and economic constraints of accessing Medicaid services for single African American caregivers who have children with a diagnosis of autism.
