The Women in Data Science Workshop (WDSW) is the kickoff event of the First Annual Data Science Forum and will be held on June 9th through 10th in the Klaus Advanced Computing Building on the Georgia Tech campus.

In 2019, the Women in Data Science Workshop will focus on Science and Society. The event will showcase talks by prominent women data scientists, as well as feature a panel discussion and community building activities. A boot camp and short courses will follow, along with a hackathon to bring out talented young software developers to actively engage in projects in a social and competitive environment.

The afternoon of June 9th will feature short courses that precede the MLSE event. Women participating in WDSW are encouraged to attend.
