Allen Hyde recently wrote a blog post for Atlanta Studies describing some of his recent work in Urban Sociology classes. Students in the summer and fall of 2018 conducted oral history interviews documenting neighborhood change in Grove Park, not too far from Tech's campus. The focus of the interviews was about residents' hopes and fears ahead of massive investments and potential gentrification in the Grove Park neighborhood.
