The MA in Gerontology program at GSU offers an intimate, nurturing, and stimulating environment in which to learn. It also leads to stable employment for graduates, who go on to serve older adults through employment in direct service, governmental, and non-governmental organizations. Approximately one-fourth go on to earn Ph.D.s in Gerontology, Sociology, and other related fields.
The deadline for Spring admissions is approaching fast: April 15. The application includes a brief statement of interest, letters of reference, and transcripts. Applicants are not required to take the GRE.
About half of incoming students will be offered a Graduate Assistantship, which comes with a tuition waiver and an annual $6,000 stipend in exchange for 8 hours of work/week.
The application can be found here: http://gerontology.gsu.edu/students/graduate/.
