Speakers will include Georgia State University Provost Risa Palm and G.P. Events will include sessions on immigration, diversity, and inequality in the United States, a film screening of a movie about immigration issues in France, a lecture on pedagogy in global justice education, and a discussion on building successful global and international studies programs.

Established in 2018, the Atlanta Global Studies Center’s mission is to enhance access to advanced language learning and to help deepen knowledge of global and intercultural issues for students, faculty and the public. The AGSC engages students throughout Atlanta — including science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) students; community college students; and first-generation and low-income students — with a goal to serve areas of national need in educating students for careers in business, education, security and defense, and public and governmental sectors.

All symposium events are free and open to the public, with pre-registration, and will take place at the Bill Moore Student Success Center, 225 N Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30332. Pay Parking is available in the Burge Visitor's Parking Lot on North Avenue.
