Campus Recreation Complex (CRC) | Posted: June 20, 2019
Have you had your eye on the Campus Recreation Complex (CRC) group fitness program? Now is the time to purchase your pro-rated group fitness package from June 17th - July 24, the semester pass is reduced to $31 for Georgia Tech students and $34 for non-students. CRC group fitness classes are drop-in and non-credit, and they focus on conditioning, strengthening and toning the body through various degrees of intensity. They are a great way to diversify your workout and take the guesswork out of what to do in the gym. We spoke with Elisha Smith, CRC assistant director of fitness, to get the inside scoop on what you can expect with classes this semester.
The POP Pilates class was just added this semester and “is a total body, equipment-free workout that sculpts a rock-solid core and a lean dancer’s body like
nothing else,” said Smith.
If class times are a concern class availability has been expanded upon this semester to optimize convenient times before, during and after the work or school day to provide more flexibility with your schedule. According to Smith, a number of popular classes, including Treadfit and Zumba, added additional time slots to keep up with the high demand.
If you are looking for an opportunity to kick up your workout, the prorated membership is a great opportunity to test out classes at a very low price! CRC members can register for group fitness courses at the Member Services desk, which is located at the CRC entrance, or at mycrc.gatech.edu.
