No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. At the Mathapalooza! event hosted by the Atlanta Science Festival, participants engaged in interactive tables with hands-on activities that introduce mathematics concepts into tactile experiences. Features this year included the elegant mathematics of honeycombs, an activity presented by Georgia Tech mathematics postdoctoral scholar Laura Eslava.
Mathapalooza! is supported by mathematics students and faculty and Atlanta universities, including Georgia Tech, Emory, Kennesaw State University, and Spelman College, and was part of the weeklong events around the city coordinated this year by the Atlanta Science Festival.
