There is now a CONTENT FREEZE for Mercury while we switch to a new platform. It began on Friday, March 10 at 6pm and will end on Wednesday, March 15 at noon. No new content can be created during this time, but all material in the system as of the beginning of the freeze will be migrated to the new platform, including users and groups. Pre-requisite: A Beginner's Guide to Python
Python excels at being able to manipulate data, but first that data needs to be put into a format Python can use and understand. This workshop covers the basics of reading and cleaning simple data using the tools Python provides by coding a simple file parser project. Recommended for students who have basic knowledge of Python and/or have attended the Introduction to Python workshop.
