School of Modern Languages Professor Dr. Kelly Comfort has been awarded 2019’s Most Promising New Textbook by the Textbook & Academic Authors Association for her textbook, Cien años de identidad: Introducción a la literatura latinoamericana del siglo XX, 1st ed., (Published by Georgetown University Press).
Dr. Comfort received her PhD in Comparative Literature with a designated emphasis in Critical Theory from the University of California, Davis. She joined the Georgia Tech faculty as an Assistant Professor of Spanish in the School of Modern Languages in 2005 and became Associate Professor in 2012.
The awards will be presented during an awards luncheon at TAA’s 32nd Annual Textbook & Academic Authoring Conference in Philadelphia, PA, June 14, 2019.
