Maya is a 3D graphics modeling and animation program. It is commonly used for things like game design and product modeling.

Maya is a powerful tool that can bring illustrations to life with many different tools to easily manipulate objects. This class is part 1 of a 3 part beginner course that will focus on modeling, rigging, and animating a character that can be implemented in a game.

In this first class, we will learn all of the parts of the Maya interface in the Modelling, Rigging, and Animation viewports, as well as project organization. Then we will learn how create, move, duplicate, and combine polygonal primitives that will be used to make your model. Finally, we will dive into manipulation tools that will further shape your objects.

This workshop is open to Georgia Tech faculty, staff or students only.

Information and updates, including what to bring to the workshops will be sent to the email you provide in your registration.
